Easy Chunky Ribbed Cowl Free Crochet Pattern

Crochet Chunky Cowl
Spread the love

Keep the cold wind out with this easy, chunky ribbed cowl crochet pattern made in chunky yarn for a super quick make in under an hour.

The chunky ribbing is made using half double crochet stitches worked in the back loop to create a warm and stretchy cowl. Both sides look the same so you can wear it folded it over or full height over your chin for those really cold days.

I chose half double crochet (UK half treble) over the classic single crochet (UK double crochet) for the ribbing, to create a softer and more stretchy fabric for this lovely cosy cowl pattern.
